History

Eastwood Vets has been part of the Ballarat community since 1992.

Over the year’s business partners Dr Ruth Gore and Sharon Mudge have set about turning Eastwood Vets into the best it can be for the Ballarat community.

The all-female team comprises a dozen staff ranging from qualified puppy trainers, animal attendants, qualified Nursing staff and Veterinarians with more than 70 years of combined experience.

All Vets come with outstanding qualifications and a diverse range of special interests in small animal medicine, complimented by a dedicated support staff.

At Eastwood Vets we believe not only that pets are valued members of many families, but the families are now wanting much more than just the annual vaccination.

Educating adults, children and pets alike begins when our pets are only 8 weeks old, building a strong foundation for a lifetime of loyal companionship, based on sound Veterinary advice, training and ongoing support.

The welfare of every pet is paramount, so over the years Eastwood Vets has taken the clinic out to the Ballarat community, with sites at the Homeshow, Springfest, and school visits, continually educating the community.

The team is the strength of the clinic; an amazing group of professionals who’s dedication and passion with the animals shows in every aspect of the care given, especially every day bedside manners.

A strong dedicated team together with continual expansion of our services through listening to our client needs has grown the practice from strength to strength.

Not only catering for small animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs and ferrets, Eastwood Vets also treat many birds and reptiles and can even answer those curly questions about aquariums and fish.

The introduction of an outstanding Artificial Insemination program for Registered Breeders in 2009 is yet another way Eastwood Vets are catering to the ever increasing pet community needs of Ballarat.
